This position will utilize our client’s sourcing systems as process tool to optimize material economics of the components and modules in the Metals and/or Powertrain Commodity; Exploitation of new technologies, products, suppliers from the North American Region in order to supply our client with the most competitive designs and material cost for current production and newly developed components; Support with US Sourcing activities and scouting trips in the US and Canada to increase sourcing in North America and to establish supplier competencies; Coordinate purchasing activities; Negotiate with suppliers on current or pending RFQ’s to create cost savings opportunities to ensure that strategies can be accomplished; Recommend competitive and leading edge US and Canadian suppliers for the Standard Bidders List; Ensure that all US/Canadian suppliers are fully registered and visible on our client’s IT Platform; Financial Analysis of active suppliers.
